Mrs. Owen Ripley Is Taken in Death
Funeral services for Mrs. Owen DeVictman Ripley, 53 years old, who died Thursday morning at her home at Clarksburg, will be held at the home of a sister, Mrs. L. C. Prickett, in Seventh Street at Huntington, Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Burial will be in the Woodmere Cemetery there. Several Charleston relatives survive her.
Mrs. Ripley was born on May 4, 1879, near Kenna, Jackson county, the daughter of Granville Price Morrison and Virginia Wolfe Morrison. She was married June 6, 1906 to Mr. Ripley, who is manager of the Clarksburg store of the O. J. Morrison Department Store company.
Surviving Mrs. Ripley are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Robert Gregg Wilburn, of Morgantown; her father, Granville P. Morrison, of Huntington; three sisters, Mrs. Lycurgus Maddox, of Morgantown; Mrs. A. P. Fisher, of Charleston; and Mrs. Prickett; three brothers, O. J. Morrison and W. L. Morrison, both of Charleston, and C. M. Morrison of Huntington; two half-sisters, Miss Maude Morrison, of Huntington, and Miss Gentle Morrison, of Charleston; and two half-brothers, Granville Morrison, and Carol Morrison, both of Huntington.
Mrs. Ripley was affiliated with the Christian Science church, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Clarksburg Woman's Club and the Golf Plaza Garden club of Clarksburg..
